Throw#back#thursday

lets imagine for a second that we are in ancient Africa. And that we have a huge roll/piece of kitenge and we are wondering what to do with it.
Of late, i have been asked so many times for kitenge designs and i keep telling these girls, PINTEREST.
Well, none of them wants to make the effort. So, here you go!!

For those lady lady girls who want a touch of africa  to go with their maxi skirt, this orange piece will get you there.

i'd not try this if i was afraid of 'heights'

to the office, maybe!

riri will work a kitenge jumpsuit, anyday. try it out too!

i like the art in this outfit. especially the match in print and the simplicity.

now THIS is just divine

GRAMMYS- the best ..the worst

Lots of stiff competition during this years Grammys, both in wear and voice. This event however was marked at a sad not commemorating the life of Influential jazz trumpeter Clark Terry who  died Feb. 21 in Pine Bluff, Ark., following complications from diabetes. He was 94. According to the Grammys news, Terry was known as a first-rate session musician, accomplished sideman and bandleader. Rest in peace.

BLACK IS FOR WEDDINGS.

Who said we all have to wed in that white gown , gold slippers, white bouquet of lilies? Who said you got to have brides maids and a colony of little tiny girls in veils?Who insisted that the 'maids of honor' would have to wear hideous matching outfits?its the 21 century people. Who cares what tradition says...well ..i do. But traditions are never restrictive. They allow for creativity and new ideas. Whats more new than a black wedding??

if my momma was not well, my momma, i'd definitely pick one of these!!
