My mum always told my twin brother, look for a good pair of shoes; girls  love a good pair of shoes on a man. I don't know how she comes up with these stuff. However, when push comes to shove, i 100% concur with her.A good shoe goes a long way.
 And because the world recognizes that a minority of men actually enjoy shopping, here are a few basic pairs i put together that can revitalize your wardrobe; simple and easy.
1 Dress shoes.

These pair will save your situation anytime you need to attend a formal function. Add these babies to a tux and you are good to go. This pair of shoe will require a  darker shade of color for your socks, preferably to match the color of your pants; check out Ali Kiba below.

2. Boat Shoes

Invented by Paul A Sperry in 1935, boat shoes have evolved over the years and just recently became one of the most sought after fashion statements. These pair are not only comfortable and classy, but also come in a female version so the two of you can have a matching pair!

3.Sneakers.

Everyone loves a pair of comfy sneakers! Why? Because even Larry Madowo can wear sneakers to the studio. And also because they can be paired with absolutely anything; rolled up jeans, khaki, shorts etc etc. I don't know about the 'Nikes' and ' Jordans' but Kenneth Cole up here sure knows what they are doing.

4. Boots

These kind are a bit tricky but all of you male species should own a pair. Boots are young and hip but also classy when done right. Please do not pair them with buggy pants, because that was done in a century that existed a while ago. Instead, go for a pair of shorts, fitting jeans or khaki. Take a look at these two down here

5. The sandals

Now, with our equitorial weather, you are bound to want a little breathing space. Please do a pair of sandals with your Sunday shorts or khaki trousers, This gives you a cute laid down DGAF look.

6. Converse Shoes are timeless. Having been here for as long as i can remember. From Tommy Hilfiger to all-stars, these shoes are unisex and can add the relaxed mood to any look. Pair them up with jeans or shorts and you are ready for a Saturday afternoon out.

MY BEST FRIEND IS A MAN

My Best Friend is a man.

I met Tim through my brother; no I met Tim in my standard one class; no, I do not remember how I met Tim. He has just always been present in my life. I can remember vaguely chats we had in class or episodes when he and my brother got into trouble. For Tim had always been my brothers best friend and I, well, a third wheel.

Tim introduced me to Chris Daughtry and to Coldplay. He introduced me to art and rally. See Tim is a wild spirit; a tough act to follow. He hates that I don’t fuss over rally cars and he hates, even more, that my favorite color is purple; for he knows if ever I help him move out, his apartment would be purple.

Over the years, ‘best friendship’ slowly swapped from Tim and my brother to Tim and Immy. We just started to talk so much and our conversations, mostly silly, were very interesting. Tim is a great conversationalist. See he reads what you write. He actually reads. So his replies are ever on point in a sassy kind of way which keeps you in that conversation.

Tim has no care whatsoever for fashion as I am. That is another aspect that I believe drives him crazy. See Tim goes into a shop and buys 5 of the same shirt in a dull grey or black; sometimes, he gets a bit of motivation and goes for the white option. His ‘shoe’ guy knows that Tim will want the same pair of converse all-stars in black, so he makes sure to stock several of them. So Tim’s usual look is black jeans, a black tee-shirt and a black pair of shoes. And with this simple outfit, he is ready for business.

My best friend is a man. And most often than not, he scares my boyfriends away. Not because he has this tough guy look on him, but because he has a place in my heart than only belongs to him. They don’t understand our relationship and most often than not, people mistake us for a couple. Sometimes, I mistake us for a couple; for Tim is that kind of guy; always present to help and always present just to listen.

It is said that man and woman cannot be friends; I don’t know how true that is. However, if I got a guy as caring and loving as Tim, he would have the other three quarter of my heart.

What i like most about him, his charming bad self and ofcourse that killer smile.

4.Taraji P. Henson
Taraji Penda Henson is an American actress and singer. She is known for her roles as Yvette in Baby Boy, Shug in Hustle & Flow and Queenie in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Her greatest role so far however goes to 'cookie Lyon' in ABCs EMPIRE.
Cookie is such a strong woman i admire her.

Well, i'm sure my evident love for this fashion/music icon has bypassed the norms. Still, if somebody is awesome and a legend, we gotta love them.
